Burnt Oak Partners Benelux

Burnt Oak Partners has been very successful in the UK since 2009. The organization expanded in 2014 into the Nordics and one year after the successful establishment of the regional Nordic office, three new partners have now started the Benelux office. The three Partners joining are Peter Overakker, René Baas and Jan Bouman, operating from the Benelux head office in Amsterdam.

Peter sees the Benelux market as a mature outsourcing market where most companies and government organizations have had a number of years’ experience with IT outsourcing. As a result a large number of contracts are up for renewal. Although clients of outsourcing services have matured their thinking and refined their needs, most traditional advisory offerings have stagnated still resulting in long lead times, complicated contracts and disappointing results.

René adds “Burnt Oak has always promoted new outsourcing ideas, resulting in shorter process cycles, reduced complexity and in particular more added value for the client’s business. We call this “Sustainable sourcing” because it offers sustainable business results and builds on long term relations. Burnt Oak is committed to deliver these results.”

Jan states “the main challenge is to combine long term relationships with sufficient flexibility, innovation and agility. The market is more and more asking for open and hybrid solutions and a quick response to the ongoing digital changes. This requires significantly more flexibility than the traditional outsourcing contracts can offer.”

Peter adds “This is an exciting challenge. Given the right mix of attitude, people and the experience within Burnt Oak we believe we can be the “value contributing advisor” in the Benelux market. We will be able to help both buyers and vendors in this new outsourcing phase.”

Peter joins from Hewlett Packard where he was Vice President General Western Europe at HP Enterprise Services for six years. René joins from Atos where he was Senior VP and Head of the International Large Deal Teams of Atos’ Strategic Global Sales Engagement organization from 2011 to mid-2015. Jan worked for Andersen Consulting and Atos where he was VP and Sales Lead in the Global Sales Engagement organization from 2006 to mid-2014.

The new Burnt Oak Partners organization in the Benelux will be officially launched during a client event on September 10th in the Netherlands.
